2008 For The Love of The Game Scholarship

Sponsored by Toyota of Seattle and YourSports
This contest allows students to earn scholarship money for creatively sharing
sports focused stories. Stories must be in video format and should follow the
theme “For the Love of the Game”-this can include anything from telling the
story of an inspirational athlete or fan, to producing a documentary of a
specific sports accomplishment, team or era. These stories should feature a team
or player at your school or in your local community.

Guidelines

Contest Rules:

• Entry Submission Due Date: April 15th, 2008
• Scholarship Winners Notified by: May 1st, 2008
• Contest is open to Washington high school students between 13 and 19 years of age.
• Video time limit of 1.5 - 3 minutes.
• Video must correspond to the theme "For the Love of the Game."
• Video content must not have any questionable content or contestant will be disqualified.
• Video producers can work solo or as groups.

• **MUSIC: We want to broadcast your show on our YourSports TV. To do that the music has to be Royalty Free. Places to Look:
  1. Go to incompetech.com/m/c/royalty-free for music
  2. Ask your video production teacher if he/she has a selection of royalty free music
  3. Use Apple Loops (located in the imovie or final cut pro programs)

Prizes:

1st Place Winner: $1000
2nd Place Winner: $500
3rd Place Winner: $500

• All Participants will receive a ‘For the Love of the Game’ T-shirt
• Judging is completely at the discretion of YourSports and Toyota of Seattle?
• Videos are judged on their ability to tell a compelling and entertaining story
• There is no limit to the number of videos entered in this contest
